Now that in car navigation is not limited to the truckers and rich business men, TomTom have designed the small, cheap and easy-to-use ONE. It’s for “everyONE” – apparently.
All-in-all, it’s pretty similar to the TomTom Go range, but the ONE is smaller, sleeker and generally more stylish. It also boasts SiRFStarIII chipset technology. If that doesn’t mean anything to you, basically this technology gives an accurate reading even if the GPS signal is poor, like when you are in a forest, or a busy city, while not draining your battery.
Like the other TomToms, the ONE also has Bluetooth connectivity so you can link to TomTom PLUS services. This is like advanced features, including weather and traffic reports and voice downloads incase you want someone famous to tell you which direction to turn next.
The ONE is a good price, and since it comes with everything you need (i.e. device, mount and maps) to start navigating straight away, I think it’ll be a best seller as soon as it’s released.
