Showtime for Palm

With Christmas just around the corner (Ok, next month but I’m excited already), Palm have released a new limited edition version of their best-selling LifeDrive. For the same price as the original model, this bundle expands on the PDA’s multimedia capabilities with some fantastic extras.

To support the high spec MP3 and movie players, Palm are giving you Philips headphones. Not the stupid in ear buds, but proper, quality headphones with a reflective neckband and enhanced bass. On top of this they are providing you with Pocket DVD Studio™ Lite and MMPlayer Lite for converting video files and DVDs into the correct format and size for playing on the LifeDrive’s high res screen.

As a wee bonus, they are also offering a £10 voucher for money off any CD or DVD – which could translate into a free Christmas present.

On top of the multimedia features, the LifeDrive still boasts the 4GB hard drive, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can store files and folders from your desktop computer, 300 songs, several full length movies, or 1000 photos, and any you leave behind are reachable with Wi-Fi. It’s an all round device, with features for everyone.

The Palm hook is that this is the only device you need for work or play, and I can’t find any argument against it.

If you agree or disagree, let me know :o )
