Perfect for this time of year. Whether you’re at the work Christmas party, or the in-law’s new year soiree, this little beauty of a program will make you seem like Jilly Goolden, only less scary. PDA Sommelier is a piece of software designed for PDAs that offers access to all you ever wanted to know about wine.
As reported by PDA Blast, the program is designed by iConcepts, Inc. in partnership with Charles Gill, a 23 year wine industry veteran. Features include a database of 53,000 Wines (holy monkies, how many ways are there to crush a grape?), Vintage ratings, Best producers and a section on the best food and wine pairings.

You don’t need to be a wine buff to use it, or a technical buff either. With simple menus and searchable databases, the software is easy to use, and starting at around £20, it’ll leave you with enough cash to give it a proper trial. I think it’d be a great Christmas present, as long as you get it for someone who will use it responsibly.

How about it, anyone know of any other software that’d make a good gift for the festive season?
