Mio unveil their follow up to the hugely successful Mio 168, the A201 Digiwalker. This PDA with an integrated GPS system boasts to be the “best of both worlds” combining a powerful Intel Processor, expandable memory, the upgraded Windows Mobile 5.0 (Magento) and Bluetooth connectivity with a 20 channel SiRFStar III receiver, Mio Map CE v.2 maps and a swivel aerial for improved coverage wherever your device sits. But is it the answer for the person who wants everything?

One minor downfall is the lack of Wi-Fi, but as Bluetooth means an easy connection to the internet with a compatible phone, and the SD slot would support a SDIO Wi-Fi expansion card, it’s not enough to stop power users from buying this device.
The GPS receiver and maps are about as high spec as you can get. SiRFStarIII means you’ll get reception pretty much anywhere, and the 20 channel receiver hedges your bets for continuous coverage. The antenna, like the 168 before it, extends by flipping outwards, but it also swivels to put it in the best position for either portrait or landscape modes.
The PDA also offers an MP3 player, video viewer, picture viewer (both on a nice big, clear, high res screen) and all the standard Windows mobile programs (now including Powerpoint). It’s not the highest spec PDA, but it’s a great GPS device with all the functionality I think you need from a PDA and since it’s expandable too, I think it’s another win for Mio.
