The oddly named PDA-N is advertised by i-Mate as “An ideal companion for today’s on-the-road professional”. So what is this travelling business type looking for? Well the PDA-N is based on Windows Mobile 5.0, and has all the latest Microsoft tools. It also boasts an integrated GPS receiver and Wi-Fi. All of this in i-Mate’s signature small form-factor (pictured below). Hot on the heels of the JAMin launch last week, the PDA-N does offer something different from its predecessors
namely the integrated GPS receiver. With this technology becoming more and more common, it makes sense to combine i-Mate’s best selling PDAs with a reasonably powerful 12 channel receiver.

You can also play your MP3s on the Windows Media Player 10, message your mates on MSN and surf the web with Wi-Fi.
So on paper this new i-Mate seems to be the best thing since…well, the last new i-Mate, but only time (and me taking one out on a test run) will tell. I’ll let you know when I get one of my very own to try out. Until then, if anyone gets hold of one, let me know how it goes.
