Sony PSP becomes a GPS system
Posted on 20. Mar, 2006 by Joanna in News, Sat-nav & GPS, Sony

Maybe not one of my typical pieces of news, but still relevant (depending on how I word it!). So the PSP has taken the world by storm. Considering that a Gameboy, the size of a small breeze block was once the height of portable entertainment with its non-colour cartridge games, it’s hard to believe that Sony’s tiny handheld device is now capable of more than your average laptop. While most blogs across the nation are counting down to the PS3 launch, I’m more interested in the fact that the PSP will soon have a digital camera and GPS receiver available as multimedia accessories.
These goodies will give your PSP video chat functionality as well as letting it work as a standalone GPS system. I’ve no idea about the specs and functions of the receiver, but when press releases are…released, I’ll give you full details.
In the meantime, if anyone out there has any more information, post and let me know.
