While before the most I have to go on was a translated foreign page, the Mio A701 has landed - this time with a full spec for you to drool over (if you’re that way inclined). The device was the highlight of Mio’s appearance at CeBit last weekend. Among the company’s other Sat Nav systems, this high end device combines phone, mobile office and GPS navigation in one handheld.

The all-in-one device features a 2.7 inch TFT touchscreen, a 1.3MegaPixel camera, runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 with a 520MHz Intel processor and 192MB of internal memory (expandable with an SD/MMC slot). The GPS receiver is SiRFstar II and the device comes with MioMap v2.
The phone is tri-band, giving you GSM/GPRS access across most of the globe, but only boasts a mediocre 4 hours talk time.
All in all, the device seems to combine what you need from the three functions, but maybe not the “best of all worlds”. I’ll test one when I get my hands on it and let you know.
