
Evesham have become the latest computer company to delve into the world of satellite navigation. Their BM6300 GPS system is being released as part of the Bluemedia series and will be the first one to feature TMC. The Traffic Message Channel system is used via FM Radio for live information, and automatically reroutes you around congestion with information as to what has caused it.
Featuring the latest Destinator software, the BM6300 has the choice of both 2D and 3D maps as well as voice guidance and a large POI database. While it is currently only on sale in Mainland Europe, UK and Ireland maps are available if you so desire, but for £400 when big names like TomTom now sell for less than £200 – you have to ask if it’s worth the hassle…
