Dear Mr. i-mate Marketing man, please help out your customers and industry friends by naming your products more distinctively!
The i-mate Jas Jam (I tripled checked, but the name may not be final) is a convergance of the JasJar and the Kjam/Jam lines of i-mate devices. It is a version of the HTC Hermes, and has appeared on the imatephonestore.com website “by accident” (those sneaky marketing types).
Spec, while still obviously heresay and not official as yet, is pretty impressive:
A combined PDA phone based on Windows Mobile 5.0, with a 300MHz processor, 2.1megapixel camera and a reasonable 192MB total memory. The photos/artists impressions ain’t too shabby, with the slide out keyboard of the K-Jam, and the small form factor of the Jam, it looks like i-mate have found a good compromise.
The phone’s quad-band, and the PDA functions include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, offering the features of the JasJar in a prettier casing. So no news of a release date or price, but I’ll let you know if I hear anything more.
