With Philips, Sony and others joining in the GPS craze, Thomson (RCA if you’re in the states) are ready to set free two models later this year. The GPS280 and GPS420 are named after their screen sizes and, coincidently, that’s just about all we know about them. The 420 has a 4.2″ 16:9 wide-screen touchscreen and is aimed for in-car use, while the 280 has a 2.8″ screen that can be used in portrait or landscape mode and is meant to be for those of us on Shanks’ pony (on foot if you’re in the states). Other specs include SiRFStarIII technolgy…and that’s about it - did I mention touch screen? As and when full details are released I’ll let you know.
