Routebuddy has just been launched - allowing you to connect a GPS unit to a Mac via USB and search map data. You can then download and upload map data, search it using FastSearch, record live GPS data and track your route, and print full screen maps. Other features include exchanging your data with others over the internet and downloading the latest map data in the ssame way. It also integrates with Google Maps and Google Earth.
There’s a free version of the software available on the website, so you can try and see if it belongs to the “high standards” it claims. The site claims that the makers are “MacHeads” and they want to hear our suggestions and ideas. So far I think they’re on the right track. An internet enabled GPS system isn’t original, but they seem to have gone thorugh a lot of versions so far and theyre pretty confident that this is the best available. Try it, test it, let me know…
TotalPDA does not vouch for this software in any way.
