
First of all, sorry about the sporadic posts last week, I was down in sunny Birmingham for a few days, and I will be off to warmer climates next week so I’ll try and make it up to you with some extra posts this week! So…the little watch above is by Rikaline. I’ve shown you a few wearable GPS solutions before but this one is the lightest yet.
The GPS-50 has a SiRF Star III receiver so it should provide above average reception and accuracy. according to Navigadget, features include the ability to measure temperature and altitude, a sharing function for sending your tracking log to a friend, and an optional solar charger as well as the usual tracking log and standard GPS features.
OK, so it’s a bit basic. You can’t create waypoints, and you can only hold a 600 point tracking log in the 6MB memory. It is waterproof though, and it has a serial port for easy data transfer. No pricing yet, but I’ll let you know.
