The image above is from MS Mobiles and is of the i-mate JAQ apparently (thank goodness it’s not the JasJaq...) So specs are slim, but we know it has the all-fashion qwerty keyboard, Windows Mobile 5.0, a 200Mhz processor, and it should be Quad-band EDGE, GSM/GPRS. The memory is unimpressive at 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM with only a miniSD slot expansion. For some reason it has the old Infrared and Bluetooth combination, with no sign of Wi-Fi or even UMTS so don’t expect a European version tomorrow. it does have a 1.3megapixel camera and should weigh a neat little 160g.
The phone is being plugged across the net as “the right design gone wrong” and it’s easy to see why. Maybe they are aiming it at endusers who are fed up with using a stylus - but it isn’t the most business-user-friendly by the looks of it. If you disagree, let me know.
