Palm confirms new Treo

Palm are set to hold a press conference this Thursday (12th October), and we had suspected that they would be announcing a new product launch, and a press release has confirmed it:

“Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Colligan today invites media to join him for a press conference at DigitalLife on Thursday, Oct. 12, to announce a new Treo(TM) product”

So far we have the 600 and 650 series, the 700p and the 700w, and latest to be launched, the Treo 700wx. I told you about the picture of the Treo 680 that appeared on Palm’s site but was quickly removed when made public. Although there is no certainty as to what the model will be, that looks like the safest bet.

I’ll let you know what’s announced on Thursday as soon as I hear it.
