This is the device that German company Maxfield is about to launch - claiming it is the world’s fastest satellite navigation system. So why don’t I believe them? First, if I’m to be purely superficial - it looks like the old TomTom ONE. If you’re making the fastest at least make it look vaguely speedy. Second, the only thing I’ve found out about its speed is that it features a 400Mhz processor. All of the new TomTom GO range have 400Mhz processors, actually, the old GO 700 did too, as do all of the new Navman range, most of the new and old Mios and more. So I’m still unimpressed. It has Max-Navigator 5 software with western European maps but beyond that I can’t find out anything more. My info so far is from ITV motoring news, and I can’t find the device anywhere else. If anyone can help out and shed some light on why this is set to ber the fastest GPS system, post and let me know- thanks!
