Navicore have launched the world’s smallest Bluetooth GPS receiver. Measuring a tiny 64×22x15mm and weighing just 30g, the company claim it is the lightest GPS available and that it can be worn around your neck on a lanyard. It would make it the perfect tool for navigating on your bike or by foot as well as in the car - but what are the insides like if the outsides are so small?
Well in manages to lock in enough technology for 20 channel reception, SiRFStarIII chipset, and a battery that will survive up to 8 hours continuous use. You can recharge it by USB cable through either a Computer or a cigarette lighter (with an adaptor). The bluetooth connection means it will work (with Navicore software) on your PDA, and seems to be a great wee (emphasis on wee) device. It will be available from next month although no word on the costing.
What do you think? Too cutesy or a great gadget?
