Russian site Mobile-review.com got their mitts on the rumoured HTC Athena (via phoneArena.com), have posted photos and a review of this Pocket PC phone (otherwise known as the HTC H7500). It’s got quad-band, GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA, a 10GB hard drive, miniSD slot, and a GPS module (supports NMEA). It boasts a 5″ screen and a VGA/TV out and USB. The device is not a clamshell or slider; it detaches itself from the QWERTY keyboard. It reportedly runs Windows Mobile 5.0, but may be updated to version 6.
The retail price is estimated at US$1,500 – 2,000, and should be launched Q1 2007. You can see more photos on the Russian language page and the full spec in English (about halfway down).
