The new TomTom RIDER

After the accidental leak of its online video demo last week (is anything like this truly accidental these days), TomTom have finally announced their new RIDER, the TomTom developed specially for the motorcyclist in mind. With a secure RAMŽ mount, dock and glove-friendly touchscreen, plus an included Cardo scala-rider™ Bluetooth® headset for voice instructions, the new TomTom RIDER delivers smarter navigation than ever before. Available from end-May 2007, the RIDER will also feature an optional carkit accessory for bikers who also own a car.

The main complaint with the first TomTom RIDER was the quality of the mount, so it appears that TomTom has listened and re-designed it. When our intrepid reviewer gets their hands on one (not me, as I don’t ride a bike), I’m sure we’ll hear more about it.
