This may not be entirely related to PDA or GPS devices, but it’s a great deal nonetheless. Broadband providers are now trying to entice customers to sign up for broadband packages by offering a free laptop with Broadband contracts.
Carphone Warehouse are providing the laptop offer with AOL broadband. For £19.99 per month you can get a free Dell laptop (Windows Vista Home Basic OS, 1GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, an Intel Celeron processor and Wi-Fi).
Orange have a similar offer through PC World. For £14.99 you can bag yourself laptop by Ei systems, though the laptop doesn’t feature quite as high a spec as that offered by AOL (Windows XP Home, 256MB of RAM and a 40GB hard drive but doesn’t have Wi-Fi).
Both deals require you to sign up for a 2 year contract with the relevant broadband provider, but a free laptop is a free laptop!
Even better, why not buy a Bluetooth GPS receiver to go with your purchase and make your laptop a fully functioning Sat nav system! Cool!
