There’s good news if you hate traffic jams (and who doesn’t?) TomTom – one of the leading GPS device providers – have announce the availability of the new TomTom RDC-TMC Traffic Receiver, a new add on which provides seamless integration of traffic information with your TomTom device.

The RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver simply plugs into your TomTom, automatically providing traffic information fully integrated into the user interface of your device. The device receives signals broadcast by national or regional providers and traffic alerts appear on the traffic bar to the right of the screen. Via this system, users have access to a host of traffic information, including the cause of any traffic incidents, the length of traffic jams, estimated delays, plus alternative routes, simply by tapping the screen.

TomTom have released the receiver bundled with a number of compatible TomTom devices, including the TomTom GO, TomTom ONE and TomTom ONE XL. Known as the ‘T-versions’, these bundles are available now.
