Get the Latest Maps For Your TomTom

It’s good news for those interested in using the very latest maps with their TomTom sat nav. TomTom have just released new maps - version 8.05 for GO x30 owners and version 7.20 for all other TomTom devices. Based on the latest Teleatlas release, the mapping data is available for download via TomTom, and can be installed quickly and easily using TomTom HOME software.

Although the new TomTom GO x30 series (featuring the TomTom GO 530, the TomTom GO 730, and the TomTom GO 930) has barely hit our shelves, users can already update their maps from the stock 8.00 version to the latest 8.05 version. The update should be available for free to the majority of new x30 owners under TomTom’s “Latest Map Guarantee”, which allows users a free map update should new maps be released within 30 days of purchase of your device.

For all owners of devices other than the x30 series, version 7.20  maps will apply and will only provide updated maps for the Navcore 7 software, not the added functionality provided by the Navcore 8 software, which ships with the x30 series.
