Find Your Way to Cheaper Petrol Prices

With the imminent release of the new TomTom x40 series, it now appears that the groundbreaking new devices not only provide an array of cutting edge navigation features, they will also be able to save you money on your fuel costs!
As well as getting you to your destination by allowing you to select the quickest, most optimal route, the x40 devices also feature a fuel price search which constantly tracks petrol prices depending on the car’s location and updates to tell driver’s where to find the cheapest fuel.
Tom Brown from TomTom states: “Fuel prices are fluctuating all the time and this can affect everyone’s day-to-day living costs. Our new device aims to help motorists cope with this.”
With 66% of the British public concerned about fuel costs more than any other issue, as well as the necessary tightening of the purse strings commensurate with the current financial climate, TomTom’s cost cutting measures will be a welcome feature to many drivers. TomTom estimate the new feature will allow high mileage drivers to save up to £250 per year in fuel costs – a saving sure to fuel sales of the new TomTom x40 devices.

Garmin Rumoured to Offer Lifetime Map Updates

Indeed, the well publicised battle between TomTom and Garmin for the acquisition of Tele-atlas, one of the leading mapping data providers, illustrates just how important maps have become in the battle for superiority.

TomTom GO 930 – T3’s “Gadget You Can’t Live Without”

T3, one of the leading authorities on gadget news and reviews, recently announced the results of its annual gadget awards, the T3 Gadget Awards 2008. On a poll conducted between May and September this year, T3 readers were asked to vote on a selection of the latest and greatest gadgets from the Apple iPhone to the Sony PS3, and of course, TomTom’s flagship GO 930.
Having previously won the award for the “Most Useful Gadget Award 2007” with the outstanding GO 720, TomTom didn’t fail to disappoint this year, snatching the “Gadget You Can’t Live Without Award 2008″. [...]
