A recent research survey conducted by VisitEngland has revealed that around one in five of those who took an overseas holiday last year are considering taking a holiday in the UK this year. With the current economic difficulties, many families are opting to save money by cutting back on luxuries such as holidays, and instead visit the venues and attractions on offer within the UK.
TomTom has recently teamed up with Enjoy England, the national tourist body’s consumer-facing brand, to offer families the chance to download a complete set of family-friendly ‘Points of Interest’ (POIs) for TomTom sat nav devices – completely free of charge. The new download will include over 5000 attractions around England, plus more than 17,000 quality assessed accommodation providers – from campsites to rural guest houses.
Damian Woodward, sales and marketing manager, TomTom, said, “Sat nav is an essential aid to driving that can save a family time, fuel and money, as well as making the driving environment safer and less stressful for everyone – whether travelling to school, driving to work, visiting relatives or driving on a family holiday. We are pleased to support National Family Week and help families explore new places around England, while also participating in some of the family-oriented activities as part of this special initiative.”
With a complete set of venues and attractions available at a simple tap of a screen, you can save time – as well as the usual arguments – and enjoy a stress and hassle free trip, all courtesy of TomTom.
