Following on from the success of the Palm Pre, Palm have announced a new addition to the Palm smartphone family. The new handset, named the “Pixie” is a small webOS based handset featuring 8GB of storage onboard, 2 Megapixel camera with flash, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.63-inch, 320 x 400 touch display.
The Palm Pixie also has a customisable back cover, and features a series of limited edition artist-designed covers in the “Palm Pixi Artist Series”, which can be purchased separately.
Web OS also provides unique new features such as Palm Synergy, which brings together related information and presents it in one simple view, and the App Catalog, which gives a choice of titles to download, many of which are integrated with other apps on the phone.
